Description
Provide access and opportunity for individuals to participate in quality Health and Wellness interventions across all populations of health, income, race, gender, orientation and power. Programs and services shall be developed and implemented with the strategic vision to incorporate Racial Justice and cross-departmental connections wherever possible. Functions include program development, program management, staff supervision, financial management, marketing, community outreach and events coordination.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the development and implementation of membership sales, marketing and renewal strategies to attract and maintain new and existing members and program participants in Wellness and Health Equity.
Recruit, supervise, train, monitor and evaluate membership staff. Ensure program quality, customer satisfaction and participant retention and growth.
Oversee, develop and implement targeted wellness programs to serve Institutional and Corporate members, including access, on- and off-site programming, and programs to support and empower people with chronic illness, disabilities and other challenges.
Implements Active Living Every Day (ALED) program, to include outreach and reporting.
Facilitates ENCOREplus and Women of Color and the Big C breast cancer support groups.
Network with, cultivate and maintain connections throughout the business, health and non-profit community to build linkages, develop program and increase participation.
Assist in preparing and managing annual department budget including targets for package sales and related areas. Provide input for grant writing and research of chronic illness prevention and management programs.
Provide membership desk coverage as needed.
Attend meetings and perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
Ability to relate to diverse populations related to race & ethnicity, health, education, income and power
Experience and ability to work with community groups and volunteers
Bachelor Degree in Physical Education, Recreation, Business Administration or other related field required
Experience with facilitating groups, presenting and public speaking.
Skills in program development, financial management, staff supervision, marketing, customer service and events coordination
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
