Description
As a Strength Room Instructor you will perform functions that will provide the very highest quality of programming and customer service for participants, and ensure health and safety standards to maintain and ultimately increase class participation. Will help implement skill and age appropriate curriculum and lessons. Excellent personal and customer relation skills are required.
Hours: 3pm- 8pm, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays 9am-1pm or Monday through Friday 11am - 3pm.
Responsibilities:
Greet each member entering the room,and create an atmosphere to ensure that all members feel welcome and comfortable.
Enforce the policies and rules of the room.
Direct and educate members through individual orientations to the equipment including seat settings, correct form and proper use.
Conduct continuous tours of room, checking for safe and proper use of equipment and providing assistance to members whenever it is needed or requested.
Assist members in setting personal goals, offering suggestions for new exercise routines as appropriate.
Implement incentive programs for all members (i.e.: Bring a Friend).
Keep participant workout cards, physical activity readiness questionnaires and waiver forms organized and properly filed.
Clean equipment and surfaces, and report repairs needed.
Answer telephone, book appointments for orientations and massages and conduct follow up phone calls to members.
Update CPR Certification yearly.
Attend meetings and perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Experience in Fitness field with basic knowledge of cardiovascular and strength training
Demonstrated skills in providing quality customer service
Ability to relate to people of diverse attitudes and interests
Willingness to learn
CPR certification must be attained during first 6 months of employment
