Community Healthlink Senior Receptionist Outpatient Mental Health in Worcester, Massachusetts

Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a Full-time (40 hrs/wk) Senior Receptionist at our Worcester site.

Adult Outpatient Services at Community Healthlink provides integrated primary and behavioral health care services in our outpatient clinics for our consumers with severe and persistent mental illness and/or a chronic substance use condition. The integrated model includes nurse care managers who coordinate care with the behavioral and primary care providers, perform wellness assessments, develop wellness treatment plans and develop and facilitate wellness activities. Clinic staff include primary care clinicians, licensed psychologists, licensed independent clinical social workers, licensed mental health counselors, drug and alcohol counselors, psychiatrists, advanced practice psychiatric nurses, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative support staff. The clinic offers open access to services daily for our consumers and our priority population. The clinic offers substance addiction treatment including medication assisted treatment using evidence-supported models.

The Senior Receptionist will provide administrative support to consumers and staff of our integrated outpatient community behavioral health and primary care centers.

Weekly clinical supervision to meet clinical licensing requirements

  • Greet clients

  • Perform check-in and check-out with clients, including verifying insurance eligibility, entering information on lapsed insurance/new insurance, collecting co-pays and balances due and providing receipts, submitting cash sheets, updating client demographics, notifying staff that client is checked in

  • Schedule client appointments

  • Enter and make changes to staff schedules

  • Answer calls and emails and respond to messages

  • Complete referrals to specialists

  • Complete daily reminder calls

  • Complete prior authorizations

  • Complete PT1s

  • Transfer and close cases in the electronic medical record

  • Send and distribute faxes and mail

  • Work as a member of the support team

  • Scan documents into the electronic medical record

  • Assist doctors and clinicians with letters and referrals

  • Maintain calendars, professional meetings, vacations, conferences, etc.

  • Perform other related job duties

  • Grade 5 Senior Receptionist: Minimum of a high school diploma/GED/HiSet required; Associates degree preferred

  • Two years of experience

  • Excellent oral communication skills

  • Advanced computer skills

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Ability to use office equipment, including copy machines, computers, printers, telephones and four drawer vertical filing cabinets.

  • Ability to organize complex tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to pass a CORI background check
