AbbVie Scientist, Quality Control-Microbiology in Worcester, Massachusetts
Perform more complex test methods as written to support product/material release with minimal error.
Understand laboratory techniques and principles performed, specifically Bioburden and Endotoxin testing.
Interpret experimental data for conformance with product/material specifications.
Understand, implement, and maintain GMP with respect to laboratory records, procedures, and systems in accordance with procedural requirements.
Assist with writing and performs validation assays per approved protocols.
Perform a multitude of laboratory techniques for which they are trained with minimal error.
Make recommendations for process improvement.
Write and revise procedures as necessary and provide support for the department.
Develop and maintain trend reports, backlog report, and document error reports which support departmental performance.
Author all types of Investigations and deviations effectively. Assist in troubleshooting assays.
BA/BS Degree in Biochemistry, Biology, or equivalent science degree.
5-8 years of QC Microbiology Lab or Microbiology Technique related work.
Maintain certifications as needed for assigned job tasks.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional communication skills in both written and verbal with strong attention to detail.
Strong creative problem solving and analytical skills.
