AbbVie Scientist, Quality Control-Microbiology in Worcester, Massachusetts

  • Perform more complex test methods as written to support product/material release with minimal error.

  • Understand laboratory techniques and principles performed, specifically Bioburden and Endotoxin testing.

  • Interpret experimental data for conformance with product/material specifications.

  • Understand, implement, and maintain GMP with respect to laboratory records, procedures, and systems in accordance with procedural requirements.

  • Assist with writing and performs validation assays per approved protocols.

  • Perform a multitude of laboratory techniques for which they are trained with minimal error.

  • Make recommendations for process improvement.

  • Write and revise procedures as necessary and provide support for the department.

  • Develop and maintain trend reports, backlog report, and document error reports which support departmental performance.

  • Author all types of Investigations and deviations effectively. Assist in troubleshooting assays.

    Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Biochemistry, Biology, or equivalent science degree.

  • 5-8 years of QC Microbiology Lab or Microbiology Technique related work.

  • Maintain certifications as needed for assigned job tasks.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills in both written and verbal with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong creative problem solving and analytical skills.
