Brief Summary of Purpose:

The PACE Business Development Director will initiate efforts and lead cross functional activity required to support out of state PACE expansion and growth. The PACE Business Development Director will work closely with the PACE leadership team and FH leaders to develop and lead the implementation of the PACE strategy outside of Massachusetts. The PACE Business Development Director will lead or support efforts to develop, vet, and implement PACE expansion initiatives out of state with current and emerging external partners. The PACE Business Development Director will work closely with peers in other functional areas to prioritize and facilitate implementation initiatives. This individual must have excellent oral and written communication skills and collaborative work style. The individual needs to be an organized self-starter who proactively works to identify and resolve issues, is comfortable dealing with internal and external company leadership and is able to build and maintain relationships with partner organizations on key initiatives. Must be innovative, diplomatic and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, plan and facilitate PACE strategic planning efforts including expansion, develop and deliver strategic planning messaging, monitor execution of the strategy, initiate efforts to adjust the strategy as needed.

  • Collaborate with PACE leadership as well as peers from corporate functional areas to define and prioritize PACE related strategic projects and initiatives based on alignment to the Fallon Health strategic plan, financial and internal resource capacity. Maintain portfolio of PACE strategic initiatives, addressing changing or emerging requests, and reporting to the executive team as needed.

  • Partner with leaders to build, evaluate and manage new business relationships to support PACE growth. Individual must have the ability to conduct research and perform (or support) analysis on potential partners, utilize knowledge of due diligence protocols, and build business cases using knowledge of PACE programs.

  • Must have ability to identify potential partners, lead/facilitate internal and external meetings, prioritize and vet opportunities, and present such priorities and recommendations to PACE leadership.

  • Provide support in identifying new business opportunities primarily by maintaining an awareness of PACE marketplace trends, a keen understanding of the connection between state and federal regulations that may change the managed care marketplace, existing and emerging product offerings, and potential deal structures. Develop comprehensive research on potential partnership companies, competitors, and industry trends.

  • Along with PACE leadership, assume responsibility for project management of PACE growth initiatives from concept to execution through partnership with cross functional teams.Establish and maintain account and client relationship management for post-partnership implementation. Develop and monitor key performance metrics and leading indicators to ensure all service levels are met.

  • Drive and manage broad range of projects as requested by the SVP of PACE Programs or other executive leaders

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.

Experience:

8+ years in healthcare industry with a focus on strategic planning and implementation

Experience presenting and working with all levels of management including Executive/C-Level
