Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am -4:00pm (schedule subject to change based on outreach events)

Job Summary:

Seeking a dynamic individual who is passionate for providing access and opportunity for individuals to participate in quality Health and Wellness interventions across all populations of health, income, race, gender, orientation, and power. Programs and services shall be developed and implemented with the strategic vision to incorporate Racial Justice and cross-departmental connections wherever possible. Functions include program development, program management, community outreach and events coordination.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating all on and off-site programs including ALED, ENCOREplus, Women of Color and the Big C breast cancer support groups and maintaining relationships with community partners.

  • Facilitate and support educational presentations in partnership with community organizations.

  • Network with, cultivate, and maintain connections throughout the business, health, and non-profit community to build linkages, develop program and increase participation.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with community agencies, and faith-based organizations for collaboration purposes and for facilitation of community education in their realms.

  • Provide input for grant writing and research.

  • Provide outreach education at community tables, fairs, and events.

  • Provide membership desk coverage as needed.

  • Attend meetings and perform other duties as requested.

  • Maintain documentation and reporting as required by grant funders

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Creative, self-starter individual

  • Spanish/English preferred

  • Ability to relate to diverse populations related to race & ethnicity, health, education, income, and power.

  • Skills in program development, customer service and events coordination

  • Required to complete certifications provided by the YWCA.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Education and Experience:

  • Experience and ability to work with community groups and volunteers.

  • Experience with facilitating groups, presenting and public speaking.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to transport materials up to 25lbs. to and from sites.
