Description
Job Title:Girls Choice Coordinator Department:Youth Development
Reports to:Director of Youth Development
Schedule:35 hours weekly -Monday – Friday, a few Saturdays a year. Flexible scheduling possibilities, however must be available to work until 6:30pm several days a week.
Job Summary:
Girls CHOICE is a long-term mentoring program which pairs professional women with 7th-12th grade historically underserved students. The goal is to help each mentee obtain higher education, relevant professional or trade experience and mature into a financially independent and self-assured woman. The Youth Services Coordinator - Girls CHOICE is responsible for providing program support to the Girls Choice Program to ensure participants and mentors are receiving support and gain access to any resources that can help address their needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Recruit middle school girls for the Girls Choice Program.
Provide engaging facilitation for youth programs at three dynamic sites - Leominster, Fitchburg, and Worcester - igniting growth, learning, and connection in diverse communities
Create and maintain all required engagement related data per participant, including but not limited to intake, pre/post surveys, ongoing data collection.
Engage with parents/guardians to support participant success.
Be an active liaison with Worcester Public Schools by working closely with guidance counselors, school adjustment counselors etc.
Coordinate college tours and other field trips.
Travel to program sites and purchase supplies, as needed. Mileage is paid and resources will be provided.
Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of associate degree in human services, counseling, psychology or related field (or equivalent education and experience preferred)
Experience working with youth or young adults required.
Must be willing to and/or be experienced in communicating and engaging with diverse communities .
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk and stand for extended intervals.
