Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center, Inc. Centralized Operations Manager in Worcester, Massachusetts

The Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center is one of the largest community health centers in Massachusetts serving Worcester, Framingham, Milford and the surrounding communities.  We are a thriving and growing organization, and our team is expanding across sites to support this growth.

We are hiring a  Centralized Operations Manager to provide oversight for day-to-day operations and personnel in our Referrals and Insurance Outreach Departments. This role is responsible for the ongoing measurement of efficient and effective operations performance, accuracy of data collection, tracking, and analysis, and implementing strategies to enhance productivity. This position will be based at our Administration Site, in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Essential Functions:

  • Hire, train, and supervise staff, providing ongoing coaching and performance evaluations.

  • Monitor and adjust operations, programs, and facilities to meet standards.

  • Ensure adequate staffing for optimal departmental management and resource use.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, workflows, and schedules to maximize efficiency.

  • Create and analyze performance reports to identify trends and improve operations.

  • Generate productivity reports and present recommendations to oversight committees.

  • Maintain high staff productivity and customer service for an enhanced patient experience.

  • Participate in committees and quality improvement teams, collaborating across departments.

  • Assist leadership in compliance with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.

  • Contribute to the annual budget process with data-driven recommendations.

Education and Experience:

  • 4+ years supervisory experience in ambulatory healthcare is preferred.

  • 2+ years in Insurance/Payor Management and/or Referrals.

  • Knowledge of health center workflows for back-office operations.

  • Excellent communication and culturally appropriate customer service skills.

  • Patience, flexibility, and adaptability.

  • Accurate data entry, clerical, and typing skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.

  • Bilingual skills preferred.
