US Tech Solutions Biologist I (Purification) in Worcester, Massachusetts

This position is in the Purification Group of the Biologics Development and Launch, Purification Department, candidate will be involved with all aspects of protein purification and protein chemistry to support biopharmaceutical process development.

Responsibilities, under the supervision of a Scientist:

• Full-time onsite lab support

• Support laboratory scale process development and characterization studies

o Chromatography using an AKTA, filtration, and other separation techniques

• Use various analytical equipment, such as HPLCs

• Buffer preparation

• Documentation of work in electronic lab notebooks following ALCOA+ standards

• Review and verification of report data

• Aliquoting, labeling and shipping

• Freezer inventory and other 5S lab best practices

• Candidate must possess collaborative skills and be able to communicate effectively

• Ability to compile and analyze data in collaboration with their supervisor or peer team members

Preferred Degrees: Chemical Engineering or Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology

Year of Experience: 0-2 year

Top 3-5 preferred experience/skills

• Experience in using AKTA for chromatography; experience with liquid handling devices like TECANs is a plus

• Experience in using analytical equipment (such as HPLC/empower)

• Knowledge in data analysis and basic statics

• Good communication skills, and have teamwork mindset
