No veterinary experience but have MRI training from human medicine? No problem! We encourage candidates from human healthcare fields, such as MRI technologists, to bring their expertise to our veterinary practice!

About the Job:

As an MRI tech in the Neurology Department, you will be responsible for: 

  • MRI Scans: Operating and maintaining MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images for canine and feline patients.

  • Patient Care: Setting image parameters, positioning patients, and actively participating in the scanning process.

  • Quality Assurance: Performing routine quality checks and reporting any concerns to ensure top-notch imaging results.

  • Continuous Learning: Staying updated with the latest in MRI technology through continuing education and certifications .

    Anticipated Schedule:

  • Wednesday - Saturday: 7a - 5p

  • Open to discussing other options!

    Compensation:

  • $30 - $40 pending skills assessment leveling

  • Even higher for a certified MRI Technician!

    About You:

  • You are a confident, skilled, Veterinary Technician (or MRI Trained Technician from human healthcare) - Bonus points if you are a CVT or VTS!

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a veterinary technician

  • Preferred graduate of an approved medical imaging program or equivalent experience.

  • Preferred (not required) registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

  • You possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills aimed at establishing long lasting, positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.

  • You are able to work well independently and in a team environment, leading by example and holding oneself accountable for quality medicine and customer service.

  • You exhibit flexibility, dependability, responsibility, and possess excellent attention to detail.

  • You understand the importance of maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people who share that same value
