The Senior Director, Total Rewards and HRIS leads a broad range of strategic and operational functions within the HR team. You will have overall responsibility for global compensation, benefits, recognition and HR information systems. In addition, as a member of the HR leadership team, you will lead and/or participate in HR Projects as required by the Head of HR as we continue to grow and evolve our function and company-wide capabilities.

You will ensure that our compensation, benefits, equity, and other rewards programs are forward-thinking and competitive, support the delivery of our desired employee experience and are aligned with the Replimune’s culture and business strategy. You will also be responsible for bringing innovation to our programs and leverage our technology to simplify and improve HR processes and the employee experience.

The Senior Director, Total Reward and HRIS will work in strong collaboration with other HR team members and, as needed, other functions such as IT, etc. to meet both their individual objectives as well as the broader functional ones.

This position is based in our Woburn office and welcomes hybrid work! Local candidates are expected to be on-site 2 days per week.

  • Define, articulate and scale our global compensation & benefits strategies so we have robust offerings that attract and retain our employees in a highly competitive market. Identify and propose modifications and enhancements to our total rewards programs to address the changing needs of our employees and the competitive environment for talent in our industry.

  • Partner with Head of HR, HR Business Partners, and the Talent Acquisition team on developing new hire offers that are competitive and equitable. Serve as a resource for Head of HR, HR Business Partners and Business Leaders on compensation challenges and solutions ranging from individual employee recommendations to unique compensation program interventions (if needed).

  • Lead the design and implementation of ex-US compensation and benefit programs as we prepare for expansion to other countries; pre-launch efforts, establish a relationship with a PEO vendor that can act as employer of record if critical hiring needs exist prior to the set-up of a full Replimune presence in a market

  • Drive, in partnership with HRBPs and Head of HR, the global annual salary increase / performance management planning and process including developing annual calendar, communications schedule, training schedules, and execution through completion. Spearhead annual compensation planning process, including merit, bonus, promotions, equity grants, and (when in Commercial stage) sales incentive programs.

  • Design and ensure a robust evaluation methodology for job profiles, families, and leveling. Manage the annual market benchmarking, including data preparation & analysis, review of observations & any risks, and recommendations to Head of HR and business leaders.

  • Develop and deliver communications which aid our employees in understanding the value of their total compensation package; develop total rewards statements and materials.

  • Administer our benefits plans globally and communicate as needed with employees, brokers, and vendors. In particular, drive the benefits renewal and open enrollment processes, including partnering and negotiating with external vendors, preparing communications for employees, and ensuring employees are well informed and engaged.

  • Oversee benefits, compensation, and employment related compliance requirements and activities including EEO and any other regulatory reporting requirements, as well as the maintenance of the employee handbooks.

  • Develop and manage a recognition & rewards porgam

  • Develop HR compensation and benefits processes that can scale with Replimune’s growth, while developing and maintaining high performance and delivery standards.

  • Define standard and/or ‘ad hoc’ report requirements (e.g., workforce dashboards, HC update) and develop routine reports.

  • Collaborate with the HR team and IT to identify technology and system needs that support a growing company. Develop a proposed plan for selection and implementation of applications and systems to enable data driven decision making and reduce manual processing. Partner with IT to ensure systems and tools are compatible.

  • Identify, establish and manage relationships with third-party vendors who deliver relevant HR technology systems and tools. Drive continuous improvement in the functionality and user experience of our systems, tools, and reports in partnership with IT.

  • Engage in larger HR or cross-functional projects, e.g., around employee engagement, HR or business process improvements, systems integration, or data quality enhancements. Act as an influencer and an integrator.

  • Remain current on industry trends, best practices, compliance, new/progressive processes, etc. that enable Replimune to achieve higher levels of operational excellence.

Education Requirements:

  • B.A. or B.S degree (or previous experience heading Total Rewards in HRIS in comparable organizations)

Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • 12+ years of broad Human Resources experience with significant exposure to compensation, benefits, and/or HR systems topics required; 4+ years of compensation, benefits and/or HR systems responsibilities within pharma / biotech / biopharma services companies in a high-growth environment preferred

  • Previous experience in HR leadership roles is preferred but not required.

  • Knowledge of compensation benchmarking principles required; understanding of SEC, SOX, and employment law regulations that apply to compensation and benefits preferred.

  • Embraces the pace and opportunities of a fast-growing organization and has proven ability to handle a broad range of responsibilities; strong project management and prioritization skills to effectively drive multiple projects and initiatives.

  • Ability to effectively analyze data, draw insights, and communicate complex information in an understandable manner.
