The Senior Audio Install Technician is responsible for installation of FTR products throughout our client site locations.
Primary Role Accountabilities
With excellent customer relationship and troubleshooting skills, perform onsite installation and integration of FTR products
Audio-Visual configuration and setup including video conferencing and configuring commercial audio visual equipment and systems i.e. digital audio (Biamp/BSS), control (Crestron/AMX), video routing & image processing.
Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and technical documents
Install and configure software as required
Provide regular progress updates for current and outstanding incidents or project tasks
Maintain schedule set by Technical Lead to complete installs on time for go-live
Systematically troubleshoot and offer solutions for audio systems
Terminate and test audio and network connectors
Role Challenges and Special Working Conditions
Must be able to work full time and at varied hours (some daytime hours, some evening/night hours as required by the project)
Interstate travel will be required
Must be able to consistently lift 50 pounds unassisted
Must be able to pass company and court specific background checks
Essential work experience, qualifications and skills
At least 5 years Audio, AV and/or digital audio skills
Sound understanding of 'Installed Sound' environments and the role of equipment such as audio DSPs
Experience with building racks
Basic networking experience
Ability to troubleshoot audio problems methodically
Ability to ensure consistency of standards/procedures & promote efficiencies
Outstanding commitment to customer service involving internal and external stakeholders
Capability to build strong and effective working relationships with key stakeholders, internal and external, including vendors
Ability to maintain a positive outlook and working attitude
Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive and classified data
Work site likely will require ability to navigate stairs, ladders, and confined spaces
Must possess a valid driver's license
