Job Summary :

The Raytheon Missile & Defense (RMD), Mission Assurance (MA) organization assures that compliant products are delivered to the customer with NoDoubt™ performance and will work reliably throughout the product life cycle. Our goal is to establish, maintain and oversee compliance to Quality and Mission Assurance policies and practices, which are aligned across RMD. We are seeking a Manager, Program Quality Lead (PQL), CLS Programs to serve within the Strategic Missiles & Defense (SMD) Product Line. The PQL will ensure that customer expectations and end-user objectives are satisfied, while leading a team of Mission Assurance and Quality professionals to ensure the successful integration and execution of RMD processes and procedures on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Program. Approximately 20% domestic and international travel may be required. Working as a trusted partner with the SMD QMA and UAE Program Leadership Teams, the PQL will engage on both a tactical and strategic level, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, early engagement on new pursuits, and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers. The QPL will be the prime Mission Assurance interface with the programs and supporting CBTs, responsible for guidance, leadership and support on all matters pertaining to Mission Assurance and Quality. Accountabilities will include satisfactory resourcing, technical quality and financial performance, and compliance to RMD procedures and contractual requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality of delivered products and services to the Customer, management of Quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities, leadership in resolution of high-visibility program issues and successful management of Customer expectations and relationships related to Mission Assurance and Quality.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Serve as a member of the UAE program team, ensuring successful program performance by ensuring conforming products and services through effective collaboration, compliance to processes and procedures

Work collaboratively with customers to ensure alignment and ensure customer requirements are met Drive analysis and root cause analysis corrective action for Scrap, Rework, Customer Escapes, and Quality Issues Support QMA efforts for program bids and proposals Drive compliance with the RMD Quality Management System while driving continuous improvement

Lead Quarterly Radar Site Audits

Review and approve Work Authorization Requests (WAR) which governs the permission in instructions for IADC to perform repairs on field item returns

Review and present Quality Metrics including Quality Scorecard, upcoming site audits, any outstanding corrective actions, and ongoing Out-Of-Box (OOB) investigations to MDA

Position is primarily hybrid based out of Woburn MA. This role requires local travel to several Massachusetts facilities including Andover, Tewksbury and Woburn, MA and southern NH to include Nashua and Pelham as needed. Qualification you must have:

  • Typically requires Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical field or in absence of a relevant degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ of engineering related experience or quality engineering support

  • Experience with Quality systems, ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102, and/or quality sciences / statistical analysis processes and tools

  • Experience driving successful performance of major subcontractors, suppliers and/or IOTs

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Qualifications we value :

  • Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity management

  • Knowledge of RMD policies and procedures

  • Experience with DOD, ISO, AS/QS, GMP, and other national / international standards

  • Knowledge of product life cycle from design through sustainment

  • Knowledge and experience in the effective use of Root Cause Corrective Action containment and analysis process and tools

  • Experience with Integrated Product Development Systems/Integrated Product Development Process (IPDS/IPDP)

  • RMD Six Sigma and/or CORE qualified, or demonstrated skill

  • Experience with AN/TPY-2 or SBX radar

  • Existing US DoD Secret (or higher) clearance

  • Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs

    Additional Details:

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
