American Tower Principal - Business Solutions in Woburn, Massachusetts

The Team

We are seeking a Principal, Business Solutions to join American Tower’s Data and Digital Solutions team. The team manages existing systems, provides business teams with access to data and analytics, delivers process optimization, and proactively identifies ways to evolve platforms or bring in new platforms to meet business needs. The Principal, Business Solutions, serves as a critical liaison between business units, the IT department, and the team, facilitating seamless collaboration and alignment. The Business Partner plays a pivotal role in developing process solutions, managing technology challenges, and ensuring effective communication between functional business teams, the team, and IT. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of both business operations and technology. Additionally, the candidate must be able to analyze solutions ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field required.

  • Six years of business analysis, project management, or technology consulting experience required.

  • Strong understanding of business processes, systems, and technology trends required.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Approximately 30% travel may be required to support the position’s responsibilities.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.

What You Can Offer Us

  • Act as the primary point of contact for business units, understanding their needs, challenges, and goals. Collaborate with the team and IT team to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Create business plans and technology and process roadmaps and prioritize projects and initiatives to ensure that technology solutions align with overall business strategies. Act as main interface to the team providing input and oversight on solutions impacting the functional area.

  • Address technology-related challenges faced by business units, troubleshoot issues, coordinate with both the team and IT support, and provide timely solutions.

  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and their potential impact on business operations.

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, functional teams, and technology stakeholders. Advocate for technology solutions that enhance business outcomes.

  • Act as a business partner change agent to assigned functional area. Identify gaps in process and workstreams and support the implementation of new tools. Support requests from business units and take direction from the assigned team to engage and support as needed for any needed process and system solution work.

  • Other duties as assigned.
