We are currently seeking enthusiastic and innovative team members to add to our brand-new day program in the Woburn area. The right candidate will join a team of professionals to support and mentor individuals to enhance and develop independent life skills. We are particularly interested in applicants who are creative thinkers and who can adapt their own interests to teach others new things. Applicants interested in the arts, health & fitness, and home making skills are encouraged. The pay rate for this position is $16.00 per hour. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. You can make a difference by: Participating in the development and direct implementation of curriculum to teach groups in both a classroom setting and out in the community. Participating in the development and implementation of the Individual Support Plan, writing annual assessments and goals, and attending team meetings as scheduled. Developing and implementing community-based activities that promote personal choice, community inclusion, dignity, and respect while enhancing personal skill development. Assessing individual training needs, developing descriptive teaching programs and curricula and monitoring effectiveness through data collection. Providing personal care and assistance to individuals consistent with both their physical needs and defined support plans. High School diploma is required, a bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred. At least one year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities is preferred, a passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must. A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation is required. Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check including references, CORI, and fingerprinting.
