Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Global Security Services (GSS) Cybersecurity Project Manager for multiple locations. As a member of the Governance & Business Execution PMO team, this role will serve as a focal point to lead projects, providing management direction and support for both independent and interdependent GSS Cyber-led initiatives. The primary role is to provide exceptional project execution through individual and team assignments. In addition to managing their own projects, you will collaborate closely with subject matter experts assigned to provide specific guidance and direction.

You will have overall management responsibility for projects while leveraging technical experts to create, plan, and execute an overarching strategy. You will work across GSS, often in tandem with Digital Technology (DT), and across the Enterprise to coordinate resources and activities to help realize economies of scale and drive project completion. This exciting role affords the selected person the opportunity to lead and manage large initiatives that have broad business impact.

This position is being offered in an onsite capacity and is based on the needs of the business. The preferred candidate will work onsite at the Tucson AZ, Huntsville AL, Woburn MA, El Segundo, CA, or McKinney, TX.

What you will do:

  • Lead project planning sessions and develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation within a matrix organization

  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for timely project delivery.

  • Monitor and report on project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet objectives. Brief Senior leaders within GSS and potentially with DT

  • Identify and manage project risks, ensuring effective mitigation strategies are in place.

  • Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

  • Facilitate project meetings, providing clear agendas and actionable items.

  • Manage project budgets and ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.

  • Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.

  • This position involves business travel on a regular basis

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically, requires Bachelor’s and 8 years of experience as a program/project manager or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of program/project management experience

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Experience in program/project management

  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Six Sigma, etc.)

  • Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Adobe Workfront, Jira, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An active and transferable US government issued security clearance is highly desired.

  • Master’s degree in project management, Cybersecurity or related field

  • PMP and/or PMX/CMX Certification HIGHLY Desired

  • Familiarity with GSS processes and technologies in the areas of application development, DT infrastructure and networking services, collaborative tools and technology, and risk analysis / reporting

  • Knowledge of formal Project Management methodologies

  • Strong ability to lead large, complex integration projects

  • Collaboration expert with experience in teaming environments

  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodology

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Prioritizing goals and setting clear expectations and deadlines to a team

  • Experience building effective collaborative relationships

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
