Position Summary:Responsible for ensuring the department's productivity and quality goals are met. Part of a cohesive team responsible for manufacturing high-quality products. Cross training into other value streams is required based on the changing needs of the business. Must be able to interact fluidly with peers, supervisors and cross-functionally work with Quality Control, Logistics, and Process Engineers.1st shift role: Hours are- 6:00-2:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Responsibilites:
- Set up various CNC vertical machining centers.
- Program CNC equipment using Master Cam software.
- Use of shop inspection equipment is essential.
- Fill out daily work orders and inspection sheets.
- Must be able to work with little supervision.
- Notify the Manager of problems preventing jobs from being manufactured.
- Interact with Design Engineering to ensure prints are accurate as needed.
- Other job responsibilities may be modified as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical Certifications in Mastercam software or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task.
- Ability to problem solve
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
- Must be willing to cross train in other areas as needed.
- Minimum 5 years machine shop experience required.
- Good communication skills; written as well as verbal.
- Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status.
