Actalent Animal Care Technician in Woburn, Massachusetts


  • Work as part of a team in a lab environment.

  • Complete client-driven projects.

  • Ensure daily husbandry, care, and maintenance for colonies of research rodents.

  • Independently manage designated studies.

  • Prepare IACUC documents.

  • Perform animal-related procedures (injections, dosing, tissue collection, blood collection).

  • Communicate with sponsors.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

  • High School diploma or Associates Degree.

  • Proficiency in administering test articles via various routes (Oral, Intravenous, Subcutaneous, Intramuscular, Intraperitoneal, Intradermal, Retro-Orbital, or Topical).

  • Ability to bleed mice and rats using different methods (tail vein, lateral saphenous vein, facial vein, vascular catheter, retro-orbital vein, and cardiac puncture).

  • ALAT certification preferred.
