Job Description:

Winchester Hospital, a member of Beth Israel Lahey Health, has a new exciting opening within our hospital family. As a member of our Emergency & Critical Care Team, this educator position contributes to the Hospital’s mission by serving the Emergency and Critical Care Service Departments (Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit) by way of performance monitoring and quality review.

This position is a hybrid of an on-site educator as well as a data monitoring for continuous safe practice and performance improvement as well as bedside nursing as the needs of the department dictate. The Educator utilizes best practice, ENA and AACN guidelines to provide education, consultations, and clinical support to the multi-disciplinary care team. Demonstrates empathy and respect and collaborates to achieve expected outcomes. Meets the highest level of professionalism consistent with a Magnet hospital. This licensed professional position will have an impact on quality improvement and initiatives, safety practices, patient satisfaction, and physician alignment by developing individual nurses and changing clinical practice.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

  • Required: Bachelors degree in Nursing, Masters degree within 5 years

  • Preferred: Master’s Degree

EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: Clinical experience in Critical Care Services (Emergency Room and/or Intensive Care Unit.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prepare, coordinate, and execute educational sessions geared towards the needs of the department.

  • Preferred: Membership in a professional nursing organization

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Required: Massachusetts Registered Nurse License

  • Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty within one year of hire
