About This Role
We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:
The Sr Buyer will have demonstrated experience in non-production procurement support in a dynamic fast paced environment.
Responsibilities to Include:
Cost/Price analysis skills required for competitive and non-competitive procurements.
Develop and execute strategies for negotiation purchase order terms (price, delivery, etc.)
Conduct post award supplier management with a strong focus on internal customer support.
Fully comply with all division and procurement policies.
Fully comply with FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR, and other government regulations.
Capable and competent contributor to New Project initiatives.
Significant contributor in direct meeting forums as well as supplemental informal forums andPrimary customers to include but not limited to Facilities, Operations and Engineering departments
Qualifications - External
Ability to multitask and manage demanding customer base.
Demonstrated experience with DOD procurements, ITAR management, construction procurements and capital procurements.
Effectively interact with Legal on terms and conditions management and best value sourcing.
Ability to effectively construct documentation packages in accordance with TDS procedural requirements
Significant and demonstrable familiarity and experience in New Project management and administration.
CPM or CPIM certification is a plus.
Advanced experience with Oracle with concentration on Procurement functionality.
Advanced familiarity with TSC Procurement policies and procedures.
Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power point).
Capable and competent in utilization of Oracle application with particular emphasis on Master Data requirements and associated administration supporting product maturation.
License and Certification Requirements:
This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- Masters Degree with 3 or more years of experience, or a Bachelors Degree with 6 or more years of experience
