This is a hybrid position with an on-site requirement 2x per week in Wilmington, MA.

The EDI Technical Lead is responsible for developing and maintaining the technical architecture that enables the seamless exchange of electronic data between the organization and its external partners. This role involves designing EDI solutions, overseeing their implementation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and optimizing data exchange processes. This role requires a deep understanding of EDI standards, protocols, and IT systems.

This position requires strong IT, business system analysis, and systems development/design experience. The successful candidate should be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect EDI systems, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.

• Study current design and Develop EDI system integration strategies that align with the organization's business goals.

• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate EDI systems with existing enterprise applications (e.g., ABS, AMS, Supply Chain & ERP Oracle Cloud systems).

• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data transmitted through EDI channels.

• Ensure data encryption, authentication, and access control are in place.

• Lead EDI Gentran system migration to new EDI platform.

• Migrate legacy processes to standardized EDI processes.

• Lead EDI scoping and design solutions. Develop, and supports ANSI X12 EDI transactions.

• Continuously monitor EDI system performance and optimize processes for efficiency.

• Create and maintain technical documentation related to EDI architecture, configurations, and integration.

• Lead or participate in EDI-related projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

• Coordinate testing efforts to ensure the accuracy and reliability of EDI transactions.

• Evaluate, select, and recommend EDI software solutions and tools that align with the organization's needs. Manage relationships with EDI software vendors.

• Develop technical specifications, development approaches and time requirements for average to large size projects. Articulates problems and solutions to both internal and external customers.

• Develop cost/time estimates and value-add impact for assigned projects.

• Compare the present state of the business with a conceptual and desired future state and provide gap analysis; recommend process improvements.

• Provide leadership with pros/cons for moving forward with potential development projects.

• Interact with executives and senior stakeholders across the enterprise.

• Contributes to IT project governance reviews.

• Work independently with minimal supervision.

• Provide training and support to internal users on EDI processes, tools, and best practices.

• Responsible for building a high-performance team.

• Develop excellent customer service to meet the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.

• Conduct end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, and functional requirements are being met, including the development of test cases, test scripts, and UAT protocols.

• Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.
