We are currently looking for a Director of Operations to join our Team.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Director of Operations supports all business lines by performing the following essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight to operations team members, ensuring collaboration and support for business lines. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Staff management responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraisal performance, addressing and resolving problems.

  • Assists with reviewing, analyzing and recommending improvements to current workflows in order to identify areas of opportunity and drive efficiency gains

  • Aids in the development of Operations “best practices” and recommends technology or process improvements.

  • Works with department leads as project manager/SME to help identify technology that will increase productivity, reach department goals and create efficiency gains.

  • Collaborates with business lines to develop and execute applicable training for all employees.

  • Help identify and create synergies between sales and service to reach departmental goals.

  • May lead departmental projects in project manager capacity.

  • Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets each department team to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.

  • Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes, as needed; Provides feedback to department teams about service structure to improve performance and productivity.

  • Leads coordination and integration of efforts among departments to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Property and Casualty producer’s license

  • Ten years or more of experience in management, training, and/or operations

  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong ability to listen, discern, prioritize, and negotiate with clients and insurance carrier representatives based on a deep understanding of relevant issues

  • Advanced professional designation highly desirable (e.g. AAI, ARM, CIC, CPCU, CEBS, GBA, RHU, REBC)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Department Business Operations

Required Experience: 10-15 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: Up to 50%

Required Education: High school or equivalent
