The Supervisor, AR Reporting & Analysis acts as the initial point of contact for internal AR reporting inquiries as well as a subject matter expert for AR Reporting. Works closely with the Senior Manager to ensure procedural adherence, reporting accuracy while recommending operational improvements. Identifies, through AR profile analysis, opportunities to achieve AR targets and reductions in customer account delinquencies. The person in this position should possess experience in AR related financial controls work along with a strong drive to continuously improve processes cross functionally in an ongoing effort to reduce overall aged receivables. In addition, the person in this position will be Involved with new team member on-boarding, training and performance reviews.
Responsibilities:
Direct, coordinate and monitor the daily activities of 2 direct reports
Audit, evaluate, and assess AR reporting processes & practices
Willingness and ability to take proactive measures to improve reporting
Presentation of reporting and analysis to leadership with succinct commentary
Develop and expand on current weekly/monthly AR reporting and metrics
Build cross functional relationships with internal teams as well as Regional & National sales leadership teams and locations
Utilize 3rd party credit service providers to assess customer and overall AR profile risk factors
Manage Credit reporting services relationships
On-going involvement with department monthly/quarterly reporting and financial end of service processes
Provide AR related ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested by manager or above
Lead the process and drive completion of the AR Bad debt reserve analysis as well as other AR related financial and business control deliverables, including completion of quarterly financial controls certification requirements
Ensure the completion of financial end of service requirements, including contract buyout, bad debt recording and facilitation of external collections if required
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
Finance / Accounting / or related business field
5+ years’ experience with AR Reporting, Credit and Collections, prior supervisory experience preferred
Experience with ERP software, including Oracle R12.13 Enterprise Resource Planning
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with SQL Reporting and/or Tableau preferred
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills
Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to manage internal and external relationships
Detail oriented, highly organized, and able to multi-task
Strong audit background with experience in financial and business controls
Self-starter, dependable and able to work independently as well as a member of a team
