Williams College is pleased to announce an opening for an Architectural Trades Technician / Locksmith. This is a full-time (40 hrs/week), year-round position in the Facilities Department. This position has primary responsibility for all locks and hardware in association with electronic and keyed locks. The Architectural Trades Technician/Locksmith is responsible for the maintenance of the campus building systems, including roofs, walls, doors, security and access systems, stairways, campus signage, furniture repairs, scaffolding, and traffic/pavement markings. Responsibilities: In conjunction with the Foreman, accept assigned work orders, schedule and secure the completion of the work in a productive and efficient manner, and verify the quality of the completed work Maintenance of all locks and hardware in association with electronic and keyed locks Adhere to all safety guidelines set forth by OSHA and college policies Assist with other maintenance projects as needed, including maintaining college walkways, stairs, and sidewalks during periods of inclement weather Other duties as assigned Qualifications: High School diploma or Trade School diploma along with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Locksmith experience is highly desired. Working knowledge of locks both electronic and keyed Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and Google Suite Managing and prioritizing multiple work orders Familiar with Design and Construction codes and safety compliance standards A valid driver's license is required. Must be able to work in inclement weather, including below freezing temperatures. Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 75 pounds with assistance and work on ladders. The ability to lift, stretch, bend, reach overhead, and physically move around on the grounds is necessary. Early morning, night, and weekend work is sometimes necessary as well as rotating on-call availability.
