Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Weymouth, Massachusetts. As a Staff Accountant, you will be expected to carry out a variety of tasks, including processing invoices, managing credit card information, and performing account and bank reconciliations. You will also be tasked with handling large volumes of data and ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently process invoices

• Manage and enter credit card information using Sage software

• Execute bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy

• Handle large data sheets and extract relevant financial information

• Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable duties

• Maintain and update the general ledger regularly

• Prepare and record journal entries as part of month-end close activities

• Use Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas for various accounting tasks

• Maintain accurate financial records and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Applicant must possess strong proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently

• Proficient in maintaining and managing General Ledger

• Experience in preparing and managing Journal Entries is required

• Must be able to handle Month End Close tasks effectively

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary for this role

• Proficiency in using Excel Formulas is required

• Familiarity with Sage Software is a significant advantage
