Eversource Energy Marketing Manager, Energy Efficiency (Hybrid) in Westwood, Massachusetts
The Manager of Energy Efficiency Marketing is responsible for leading and executing marketing strategies, public relations, and thought leadership initiatives within the Energy Efficiency, Active Demand Response, and Electric Mobility department across the company’s three operating states (Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire). This role ensures consistency with business branding and objectives while executing projects that align with corporate principles. The Manager works closely with internal stakeholders, business and sales management, and the marketing outreach and communications team.
This role has two distinct areas of leadership:
Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Marketing Strategy: Oversees all B2B marketing efforts related to Energy Efficiency, Electric Vehicles, and Demand Response programs.
Public Relations & Thought Leadership Strategy: Manages PR, media relations, industry association engagement, and other key outreach areas to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
The Manager collaborates with an equivalent colleague who oversees the Residential side of the business while focusing on C&I marketing and reports to the Director of Marketing Communications.
This is a hybrid role.
Essential Functions
- Leads and collaborates with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing plans and campaigns.
- Develops and implements Energy Efficiency marketing strategies for B2B initiatives, including Electric Vehicle and Demand Response programs.
- Oversees public relations and thought leadership initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Develops and coordinates outreach/engagement plans to increase awareness of Energy Efficiency, Active Demand Response, and Electric Mobility solutions and enhance customer interaction.
- Works with Eversource’s Media Relations team and external partners to manage PR and outreach initiatives that drive customer participation in energy efficiency programs.
- Coordinates with internal and external partners, including copywriters, graphic designers, photographers, and other vendors.
- Ensures alignment of key marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
- Develops and supervises marketing plans, ensuring they meet performance goals and timelines.
- Leads marketing partnerships and events, managing execution for conferences, sponsorships, and other engagements.
- Supervises the writing and editing process of multi-year business plans related to B2B program initiatives.
- Maintains marketing calendars and budgets, ensuring timely execution of campaigns.
- Analyzes marketing research and campaign performance, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Represents Energy Efficiency, Active Demand Response, and Electric Mobility at industry conferences, trade associations, and thought leadership events to strengthen brand positioning.
Qualifications
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Must be enthusiastic, a quick-learner and eager.
- Expert-level use of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-starter with strong desire to learn.
- Results-driven, self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Education:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, business related field or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree in marketing preferred.
Experience :
- Ten (10) plus years of related experience
- The qualified candidate will have experience managing all aspects of marketing campaigns to both B-to-B and B-to-C customers.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge and results of public relations, digital advertising, copywriting, event strategies and planning, direct mail, and email marketing campaigns, and more.
- To qualify you must be able to fully explain how you develop advertising plans, targeting, message testing and more plus how you create an ROI analysis with total budget experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $ 148,310.00 - $164,790.00 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
