Adecco Staffing Desktop Publisher in Westford, Massachusetts

Overview

A small manufacturing business having less than 25 employees, located just off 495 in Westford, MA is seeking a Desktop Publishing person to assist our sales and marketing team with the creation and management of product data sheets and print/electronic sales and marketing documentation for our website and social media posts.

With over 150 current product data sheets on our website, we are looking to redesign current and add new product datasheets, announcements and technical competency print media from a clean modern looking field editable template design.

We want to be able to populate data fields for photos, text, charts and tables capable of inserting our product specification information such as product name, part number, product description, technical specifications (text, charts & tables) and outline drawings. If possible, from a complete csv file with all our data from our website to easily generate these PDF files where it is too time consuming to do this manually.

The job is ideal for a candidate that cannot commit to full time employment where a part time or temporary assignment maybe more beneficial.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing DTP software to produce a layout for each page of the publication.

  • Review text, create/modify graphics, or other materials created by writers and designers.

  • Produce, edit graphics, such as photographs, illustrations, charts or tables.

  • Integrate images and text to create cohesive looking pages making sure that each page, and the document as a whole, is uncluttered and well balanced

  • Adjust text properties, such as size, column width, and spacing are appropriate.

  • Revise layouts and make corrections as necessary

  • Submit or upload final files for printing or online publishing

    Knowledge of the following software a plus:

    Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Word, Excel & Word Press
