Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Controller in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. This role involves overseeing and directing all day-to-day accounting and financial activities of the plant. The Controller will be a key decision maker and will have significant interaction with senior management.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance decision-making abilities by designing and implementing programs, processes, and procedures in alignment with corporate, function, and business goals.

• Provide proactive business partnership to enhance profitability and better cost understanding.

• Lead financial awareness and understanding among plant employees by hosting various training opportunities.

• Perform timely and accurate completion of relevant accounting activities, including month end close, period reporting, fixed asset management, inventory valuation, and overall asset and liability control.

• Implement and ensure adherence to internal finance controls including data and reporting standards and compliance.

• Monitor, identify, and support deviations to budget and forecast.

• Analyze and report on key plant operational and accounting metrics, presenting financial performance in various forums as required.

• Provide finance expertise and decision support to business leaders in support of the division strategy.

• Support the business in understanding and managing product costs.

• Drive cost savings initiatives across the business.

Requirements • Possess proficiency in 3M

• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is a must

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services required

• Working knowledge of CRM is crucial

• Experience with Crystal Reports is necessary

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions essential

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Auditing skills are essential

• Experience in Budget Processes is required

• Proficiency in Forecasting & Modeling is needed

• Experience in Budgeting is necessary

• Familiarity with Budgeting - Forecasting is crucial

• Experience in Monthly Close processes is required

• Proficiency in KPI Reporting is needed

• Knowledge of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley is essential
