Essential Duties and Tasks

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made, upon request, to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Recommends equipment and processes for increased efficiency, cost impact, quality and improved reliability

  • Assesses current equipment and processes, make recommendations for improvements

  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and repair equipment, processes. Work with relevant departments as needed

  • Develop and implement improvement methods and controls focused on safety, quality and efficiency

  • Record and be able to report on results to site management

  • Project plan development and presentation, follow-up, tracking progress. Involvement in capital project development, implementation and startup

  • Develop and own process trouble shooting guides, provide operator training to ensure process functionality

  • Work together with quality to investigate various complaints and subsequently integrate RCCA into process to prevent reoccurrence

  • Travel as needed (<10%) for visits to customers/suppliers

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Bachelors’ Degree with Engineering Certificate required or relevant industry experience (5+ years) in manufacturing engineering role

  • Solid working knowledge and hands on experience with concepts and principles

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Outlook email and calendar.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.

  • Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.

  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.

  • Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

Works indoor environment with safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes, vision and other protection required when in manufacturing areas.

This role operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment. Employee is exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing areas.

Salary range $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience.
