Essential Duties and Tasks

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made, upon request, to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Safely sets up, operates, and monitors rewinder machinery and equipment as intended and needed to meet customer and production goals.

  • Completes rewinder machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper operation.

  • Monitors the production process, inspects and tests materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are met.

  • Verifies and tracks all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations.

  • Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.

  • Trains and provides guidance to machine assistants and new crew members.

  • Keeps machinery and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment(PPE) as required by safety policies and reports any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.

  • Completes all necessary documentation for internal or external use.

  • Effectively works with other departments or team members, such as machine technicians, supervisors, and quality control inspectors, to coordinate production activities and address any potential issues as they arise.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Work primarily in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Hearing protection, safety shoes, vision protection and other necessary PPE as required.

May be exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, inks, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area.

Pay range - $23-$29/hr, depending on experience
