Schedule / Pay Rate:

12 hour Overnights 6pm - 6am – "4 on / 4 off" schedule (work 12-hour shifts for 4 days, then get 4 days off) -- only work for half the year!

Compensation starts at $32/ hour and is dependent on experience and training.

Brief description of the role below:

ProAmpac is seeking an Electrical Technician who is detail-oriented, a self-starter, a critical-thinker and possesses good written and verbal communication skills. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining and providing maintenance to all equipment, machinery, etc., to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment, both electrical and minor mechanical repairs along with troubleshooting PLC program logic & industrial motor drives. Including but not limited to participating in the day-to-day compliance with Food Safety, 5S and Pre-requisite programs, amongst other duties.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, technical training is a plus

  • 3+ years’ machinery, equipment electrical maintenance is a MUST

  • MUST have and maintain Massachusetts Journeyman’s electrician’s license REQUIRED

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment

  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision-making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.

Physical Requirements:

Climbing Stairs, Bending, Twisting, Reaching, Pushing, Pulling and Squatting. Walking or standing on concrete floors for most of shift. Climbing Ladders and Working on High lift. Lifting is minimal, occasionally up to 40 lbs. Exposure to coatings and solvents. Shift formats vary (8 hours, 12 hours, nights, days). Good and reliable attendance.

Preferred

  • Industrial electrical experience with web-based machines recommended. Able to work independently and/or as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude and be well organized. Have basic computer knowledge. PLC ladder logic programming and or Drive systems a plus
