We are offering a contract or contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Tax Accountant in Westborough, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing both business and personal tax returns.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for both businesses and individuals.

• Keep accurate records and documentation for all tax returns prepared.

• Continually update knowledge of federal income tax returns and regulations.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to tax compliance regulations.

• Communicate effectively with clients to explain tax return processes and outcomes.

• Utilize advanced tax software and systems for tax return preparation.

• Collaboratively work with other team members to ensure accurate and efficient tax return preparation.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and changes in tax laws.

Requirements

• Proficiency in reviewing and preparing federal income tax returns

• Experience in handling personal tax returns

• Proven ability to interpret and apply tax legislation

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills to explain tax concepts to clients

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work output

• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) status is preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
