The Robotics Manufacturing & Technical Operations (RMTO) team is seeking a Production Control Manager to develop and manage a comprehensive production control process to support high volume manufacturing and emerging products and technology. The Production Control Manager will be responsible for managing the flow of materials, ensuring on-time production, and coordinating with various departments to achieve operational efficiency and meet customer demands. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of material management processes. The role will be responsible for managing 3 contract employees.
Key job responsibilities
Engineers all end-to-end Material Flows from supplier receipt to lineside delivery in order to efficiently meet production requirements
Developing a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) to document part numbers, quantities, suppliers, storage locations, part attributes, and replenishment plan
Establish visual management process for the shop floor to align with the PFEP
Update production spreadsheets to clearly communicate the status of each job/work order and its can-build/ factory clear-to-build status
Communicate internally any known or potential issues that could affect production or shipments, confer with cross-fucntional teams to assess progress and discuss needed plan of action and meet schedule commitments.
Coordinate the schedule, plan, and initial staging of material/kits to all vital areas of production and test.
Develop and standardize area supermarket replenishment plans to prevent overstocking and shortages
Control the proper access and consumption of material in manufacturing – custodian of the cash
Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy by managing cycle count program
Monitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Production to ensure work completes on time to schedule.
Create standard operating procedures on defined work paths
Acts as primary contact for matters regarding schedule execution status and can build status based on available inventory

Basic Qualifications
Experience in building and developing a high performance cross functional project team
Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management
Experience delivering results by partnering with and influencing others
5+ years of domain experience in the areas of manufacturing, supply chain operations, or materials management
Ability to work independently and efficiently on various assignments at once
Ability to manage multiple contractors across multiple programs in parallel
Knowledge of material resource planning (MRP) and manufacturing execution systems (MES) specifically Oracle and Proplanner
Strong communication skills both within the team and with external stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as high attention-to-detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL
