Job Description

Olympus Corporation of the Americas (OCA) distributes a wide range of medical and surgical devices used to diagnose and treat diseases. OCA needs to educate health care providers on the safe and effective, on label use of those products through Professional Education courses, workshops, and training events The position entails overseeing and optimizing the implementation and operational aspects of Professional Education training programs, leading a team of Program Managers, Associate Program Managers and Specialist to ensure the successful execution of professional education initiatives. Strategic vision, leadership skills, and operational expertise will drive the continuous improvement of training programs, ensuring they align with organizational goals and objective.

Job Duties

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor Program Managers, Associate Program Managers and Specialist, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment for the execution of training programs.

  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop and execute strategic plans for training program implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Oversee detailed project plans to guide the implementation process effectively.

  • Operational Oversight: Ensure the smooth operational execution of training programs, including logistics coordination, resource allocation, and budget management in compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing departments, curriculum development teams, clinical educators, and healthcare providers, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across departments to ensure training initiative success.

  • Serve as business partner to internal stakeholders and manage relationships with external HCPs

  • Executes engagement plans to maintain effective and sustainable relationships with healthcare experts

  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure training programs adhere to regulatory standards and compliance requirements, maintaining adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training program quality and effectiveness. Identify innovative training methodologies to meet evolving educational needs.

  • Program Evaluation and Assessment: Implement mechanisms for evaluating training program effectiveness, including assessments, feedback collection, and performance metrics analysis. Use data-driven insights to drive program improvements.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate training programs with organizational initiatives. Contribute to strategic planning and organizational training strategy development.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience required.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a people leader.

  • Experience managing relationships with key stakeholders is required.

  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point and Teams

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

  • Proven record of accomplishment in managing complex projects to successful completion.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and influence a cross functional team

  • Ability to interact professionally and maintain relationships with many different types of professionals (Healthcare professionals, vendors, sales representatives, Legal and Compliance representatives)

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the healthcare industry.

  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Ability to travel approximately 35% of the time

  • Overnight travel required

  • Travel via airplane required

  • Flexible hours required

Preferred:

  • Experience providing leadership in marketing, training, project management or operational department roles is preferred.

  • Medical device experience preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $103,779.00 - $145,290.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
