Job Title: Hardware Test TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Hardware Test Technician. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, can remove roadblocks, is detail-oriented, and has a knack for solving problems. You will regularly work with Hardware Developers, Product Managers, and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment. During the development cycle, you will identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of test equipment and test fixtures.

• Set up and execute tests and experiments.

• Help create test cases and test plans, modifying existing test documentation as needed.

• Collect and deliver data, write and/or contribute to test reports.

• Perform verification testing of system components.

• Provide test feedback to teams to improve quality performance through all phases of data collection.

• Work in collaboration with internal teams to identify and troubleshoot technical issues.

• Assist design and test engineers with prototype builds.

• Troubleshoot technical or process issues.

• Handle confidential information with a high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.

• Experience in functional and environmental testing.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Linux and Python.

• Troubleshooting skills, particularly in mechanical and electrical testing.

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with assembly.

• Quality assurance knowledge.

• Electronics and hardware testing experience.

• Strong computer skills.

• Excellent communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.

• 2-4 years of industry experience in software and electro-mechanical testing.

• Two years of experience as a Hardware Technician.

• Electro-mechanical aptitude.

• Familiarity with tools and measurement devices.

Work Environment

The work environment is very project-based, with tasks varying day-to-day. One day you may be tearing down a fixture, while another day you may be bringing up a fixture, depending on current needs. You will help with fixture building, execute tests, and host test clean-up. Interaction with the team includes stand-ups twice a week, with daily meetings with the manager. The role offers the opportunity to learn new technology, build skills, and potentially transition into a permanent position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.36 - $34.36/hr.
