As a Data Engineer, you will ingest, transform and store cleaned and enriched data to be available for business & analytics teams. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, modelling, and maintaining data warehouses and data marts as well as maintaining and configuring data engineering and ETL tools (e.g., ODI, DataServices, SSIS). Work to connect customer data, sales information, digital interactions, predictive analytics and algorithms to align with Olympus’ Go To Market strategies across multiple divisions and customer segmentations
Improve data availability by acting as a liaison between business/analytics teams and source systems
Collect, blend and transform data using ETL tools, database management system tools, and code development (e.g. SQL, Java, C)
Implement data models and structure data in ready-for consumption formats
Perform aggregations on data across various warehousing models (e.g. OLAP cubes, star schemas) for analytical purposes
Interacts with business & analytics teams and capable of understanding how data needs to be structured for consumption
Analyze sales, marketing, customer and digital data sets including - audience insights, personas, keyword research, messaging themes, competitive information and analytics to develop engaging content for email, web, social, digital campaigns, video, etc. that supports sales and marketing initiatives
Transform data into actionable insights across several different businesses and product lines and be able to apply algorithms and concepts into Go To Market planning and strategies
Recommend and support new strategies, MarTech platforms, workflow processes, and omni-channel initiatives to increase the scalability and efficiency within the marketing organization
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience
Minimum 3 years of experience with data analysis and preparation, including considerable experience with very large data sets of unstructured data related to Business Intelligence
Mastery of SQL scripting
Understanding of R, Python, and Java
Strong experience in database development & data modelling
Solid business and collaboration skills, and responsive to service needs and operational demands
