Licensed Practical Nurse

Kick-start your career in Nursing in the Human Services field! Actalent is looking for full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team with one of our clients in Springfield, MA. Job Description:

• Manage routes and frequencies based on patient characteristics such as age and gender under the order of a Physician.

• Develop treatment plans grounded in scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines as directed by a Physician.

• Counsel patients about drug regimens and potential side effects or interactions with other substances such as food supplements, over-the-counter (OTC) medications, or herbal remedies.

• Recommend interventions to modify behavior associated with health risks as directed by a Physician.

• Educate patients about self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to individual circumstances.

Qualifications:

Active LPN License - State of Massachusetts

Experience working in the human/social services field preferred

Work Environment:

Day program setting assisting adults with learning disabilities and helping them get accustomed to daily living.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm (no weekends)
