DRIVER SUPERVISOR / TRANSPORTATION Job Details Job ID:4647292 Application Deadline:Posted until filled Starting Date:To Be Determined Job Description FULL TIME OPPORTUNITY / WILBRAHAM LOCATION The purpose of the Driver Supervisor was established to provide support within the student transportation services area with specific responsibilities and directing all bus drivers; addressing school bus regulations and safety procedures; recognizing and implanting training needs for drivers and monitors; and implementing and maintaining required documentation in compliance with LPVEC, District, State, and Federal requirements. SEE THE LPVEC WEBSITE FOR COMPLETE JOB DESCRIPTION Job Requirements 1.Valid CDL and School Bus Drivers license. 2.Experienced school bus driver with a good driving record. 3.Strong work ethic, dependability, and follow-through. 4.Computer literate and must have knowledge of school bus routing and driver scheduling. 5.Ability to enforce LPVEC policies and procedures fairly and consistently overall. 6.Must have the ability to direct and work with drivers, monitors, and mechanics in a professional and respectful manner. 7.Ability to work effectively with management through day-to-day interactions and make suggestions to run operations more efficiently. 8.Must have a positive and professional attitude toward co-workers, students, District Administrators, and parents. 9.Must be able to work effectively as part of a team. 10.Knowledge of and experience with regulations pertaining to school bus operation and inspections by the Registry of Motor Vehicles and the Department of Public Utilities. 11.Such alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. High School/Trade School degree preferred.
