The Rockport Group Digital & Print Graphic Designer in West Newton, Massachusetts
This creative professional will work collaboratively within a small talented and motivated team, ensuring the creation and delivery of engaging, digital and print design assets. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, have the ability to pivot quickly, multitask, and can be solution oriented. This individual will work on a wide range of design projects. Including, but not limited to social media, retail signage, wholesale; digital ads/banners, brand pages and store signage.
The Digital & Print Graphic Designer will help develop seasonal templates, style guides, and internal design elements for Sell-in sales tools. S/he will take projects from campaign concept through to design, seeking to find compelling, innovative and design solutions that communicate goals and strategies set forth by Marketing leadership. Takes creative direction from the brand guide and adheres to those graphic design standards across all business concepts and strategies. This role will work with the Art Director, Project Manager, Marketing Leads and cross-functional teams to ensure adherence of the creative-brief’s needs and deadlines. S/he must have an impeccable understanding of design, layout, typography and color, down to the pixel. The scope of design work ranges from 30% conceptual to 70% production. Attention to detail is a must, as well as the ability to work fluidly and think holistically on brand-focused initiatives collaboratively or independently. Mastery of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator is a must. Motion graphics experience is a plus.
Collaborate with Art Directors, Project Managers, Marketing Partners, Designers and Senior Leadership to design and deliver on-brand visual communication assets for digital and print marketing needs.
Design and develop activation assets and seasonal templates for social media platforms.
Create and/or adjust simple, eye catching animated gifs/mp4s optimized for digital ads or social media.
Update seasonal E-tailers banners, digital ads, and branded shopping pages.
Design and produce production quality digital and print graphics.
Ensure graphic solutions are on-brand optimized for integration, performance and usability.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent and expectations are met.
Ability to manage & negotiate timing assigned to multiple design requests and deadlines.
Brainstorm and/or collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure consistency of seasonal brand
Integrate creative brief specifications and business requirements into clean, simple designs.
Maintain brand continuity across all projects and platforms.
Stay up to date with current digital and print design trends, best practices, bringing innovative ideas to the table that will push the design team and the brand forward.
Education/Credentials: BA/BS in related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum Years Experience: 3-5 years related work experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field of study (Visual Communication).
At least 3-5 years of professional experience in digital & print at an agency or in-house team with a global brand.
Mastery of Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Libraries).
Ability to create simple, eye catching animated gifs/mp4s
Experience with digital advertising, social media, and print design.
Ability to create designs by leveraging knowledge of typography, layout and composition, color theory, grid systems and use of photography.
Minor photography retouching – clean up, canvas extensions, simple color corrections, dodging & burning for areas of subject focus and/or graphic/type legibility.
Strong communication and project management skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working collaboratively, independently and accurately across multiple teams/personnel.
An on-line digital portfolio showcasing this SOW is required for consideration.
Experience within a deadline-driven environment.
