We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. The incumbent will have general accounting as well as cost accounting responsibilities. Responsibilities Account Reconciliations Bank Reconciliations Month End Schedule preparation Fixed Asset Schedule - updates and invoice backup Construction in Process Schedule - updates and invoice backup Maintain Lease Vehicle & Fuel schedules Assist with Fiscal Year End audit preparation Remote bank deposits Sales Tax Returns - Multiple States Review of Labor Rates Review of Standard vs Current Costs Review of Operational Costs and Rates Maintain accuracy of item standard costs Assist Accounting Manager with projects as needed Provide vacation coverage for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Education and Experience Associate Degree in Accounting required. At least two years of experience working in an accounting environment. Knowledge and skills Experience with basic accounting and financial practices. Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel. Familiar with an ERP software system. Strong mathematical skills. Detail oriented and well organized. Strong team player. Comfortability around manufacturing floors Understanding of Labor Rates, Overhead Rates, Burden Rates, Operational Routings Understanding of Bills of Materials We offer a generous benefit package, including 401K and profit sharing.
