Town of Wellfleet Council on Aging Program Coordinator in Wellfleet, Massachusetts
The Town of Wellfleet is seeking applicants for a part-time Council on Aging Program Coordinator scheduled 15 hours per week. This position performs organizational & administrative work related to the development, implementation, & marketing of all programming activities occurring at the Senior Center & responsible for coordinating & managing & extensive activity calendar of events, including contract management assistance with instructors, marketing outreach assistance of all programming, scheduling of rooms, recruitment of instructors, arranging furniture & equipment for program, & evaluation of programs to provide feedback to instructors &/or the Director as appropriate. This position will perform outreach to identify senior needs, organizes events & promotes established programs. Ensures necessary facilities & equipment are available on schedule. Assists in interviewing, training & evaluating program instructors & recommends same to Director. Evaluates programs by participant feedback & assesses whether they satisfy program needs; makes follow-up recommendation to Director. Maintains accurate & user-friendly management system to utilize in the registration of participants & coordination of space. Maintain accurate statistics for evaluation & reporting purposes. Provides support & assistance to the front office as it pertains to registration of programs, information & assistance to the public & responds to inquiries regarding programs. Provides daily problem solving, & public relations support to all participants & instructors. Bachelor\'s degree in Social Services or related field & experience is desired, promoting & implementing programs geared to the senior population, one year of which is at a supervisory level; or any equivalent combination of education & experience.
