Job Descriptions:
Under the direction of the Lead ERM Analyst, the Risk Specialist will support various Risk and Internal Audit related activities, including the collection and analysis of customer data, internal audit control testing, and reporting activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately enter and update risk-related data into internal systems, databases, and spreadsheets while maintaining organized and up-to-date records, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
Support various Risk and Internal Audit related activities with data collection, analyses, and reporting.
Collect and analyze key Risk-related data. Analyze trends over time with various internal and external tools available (e.g., Dashboards, S&P Global, Analytics).
Perform internal audit validation testing to assess and analyze the appropriateness of Management’s remediation of identified internal audit issues.
Support tracking, monitoring, and reporting of Risk and Internal Audit related activities.
May assist with internal control testing to support our Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program.
Support the monitoring of our Specialized Banking (cannabis) line of business by performing detailed analysis comparing our customers’ deposit activity to identify trends or inconsistencies requiring further investigation.
Foster teamwork and collaboration with others across the Bank, building positive and constructive working relationships, supporting the Bank’s strategic plan, and demonstrating the Bank’s core values.
Assist other Risk & Compliance team members with various assignments, as needed.
Required Experience:
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Highly-motivated professional who can handle multiple, cross-functional tasks, adapt to change, and work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment – independently and in a team
Demonstrated analytical skills with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
Familiarity with banking, specific expertise in risk, fraud, and/or internal audit
Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer and technical skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technology
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite; advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, macros, etc.) preferred
Demonstrate and promote high ethical standards and behaviors
Maintain a professional manner at all times
Exhibit a culture of teamwork, transparency, and collaboration

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum education requirement: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience in banking, risk, or audit considered a plus
