Aston Carter Inside Sales Representative in Wellesley, Massachusetts


  • Collect billing information from new customers and communicate internally with accounting department to ensure all necessary information is on file.

  • Communicate about new feedstock acquisitions and coordinate with the Operations, Sales, and Accounting Teams to ensure all necessary information is received by each department. This is includes completing and emailing IMC and Feedstock Forms to the group and filing each form in the correct location on the Google Drive.

  • Create new account records on Salesforce when applicable and update existing records when new market information is collected. Utilize prospecting tools such as ZoomInfo to efficiently push company information onto our Salesforce CRM platform.

  • Assist with the development of pricing proposals and creating quotes for sending to key stakeholders and new prospects.

  • Field inbound calls to help service current and prospective customers

  • Utilize/understand pricing tools in order to work with customers/prospects changing service needs

  • Utilize Adobe Sign to collect signatures from new customers and create new Feedstock Supply Agreements to have on file.

  • Organize and file all documents for ease and accessibility across Vanguard’s multiple departments.

  • Assist with developing new email campaigns and cadences to reach new prospects and generate new leads for the Sales Feedstock Team.

  • Perform sales prospecting activities as requested, including daily logging of activities and opportunities onto the Salesforce CRM platform when customer facing activities occur.

  • Assist Sales and Marketing Teams with developing a customer retention and customer appreciation program. This entails the creating a Sustainability Report Card and/or other external communications to highlight the contribution of our food waste generator partners In creating renewable energy on local dairy farms.

  • Begin cultivating relationships with key decision makers at varying company levels and with assorted motivations.

  • Have a passion for sustainability and success at selling it at a high level.


• 1 – 3 years of experience in inside sales, data driven marketing, or market analysis is a plus

• At least 2 years of recent sustainability, recycling, or organics/food-based industry sales experience is desirable

• Passion for sustainability and environmental issues and the desire to sell a service that will make a difference

• Proven ability to source prospects and determine the optimum path to sale

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Suite

• Salesforce experience preferred
