Want to become a Certified Nursing Assistant? Athena Health Care Systems will sponsor you to become a full-time or part-time C.N.A. at our nursing homes in Webster, Southbridge or Marlborough.

We are partnering with Peak Medical Academy in Worcester to train new healthcare heroes. The nursing homes sponsoring students are:

  • Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Marlborough

  • Lanessa Extended Care in Webster

  • Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Southbridge

  • Webster Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Webster

What does a C.N.A. do?The primary purpose of your job is to provide exceptional care to your residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with our established nursing care procedures, and as may be directed by the licensed staff nurse. As a C.N.A., you play a critical role in the lives of our residents assisting with personal care, mobility assistance, feeding, medical equipment operation, patient safety, and more. Becoming a C.N.A. offers a fulfilling career, providing a sense of purpose in both your professional and personal life.

C.N.A. shift options include 7:00a – 3:00p, 3:00p – 11:00p, and 11:00p – 7:00a. Hourly pay ranges from $19 to $21. All of our weekend shifts, as well as many weekday shifts, come with pay differentials.

Part-time is 24 hours or more per week. Full-time is 32 hours or more per week.

Course Details:

  • Course begins August 6th, 2024, and runs for six (6) weeks

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • The academic portion of the course will be held at 38 Front Street, second floor, in Worcester with four (4) days of on-site clinical in Worcester

How to get enrolled and what you’ll need:

It’s simple! Just submit an application. After that, a member of our team will reach out to schedule an interview with you. Requirements to enroll include: (1) A tuberculosis test, which we can perform on-site if needed, (2) the first two bivalent COVID-19 vaccines or an approved exemption, and (3) a letter from a physician stating that you’ve received a physical within the last year and can work with no restrictions.

A background check will be conducted.

The sponsorship provided by Athena does not cover the cost of taking the C.N.A. examination, which is roughly $110. After you complete the course, you will schedule your C.N.A. exam. The course includes the book and additional supplies. Funding is available through Peak for scrubs. CPR training is included. This course will also certify you as a Home Health Aide.

*Employment conditions apply including a one (1) year employment agreement with Athena Health Care Systems. You will be required to sign a payroll deduction authorization form to enroll.
