Description We are offering a receptionist role in Watertown, Massachusetts, to work in a high-end showroom. The position involves managing demanding clientele, ensuring smooth operations during busy times, and utilizing downtime efficiently. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity that requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage front desk operations, greeting and directing visitors to the appropriate person or department.

• Handle incoming calls, taking messages, and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.

• Oversee the scheduling of appointments and meetings, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.

• Maintain a detail oriented and welcoming environment for clients, providing excellent customer service at all times.

• Use Microsoft Office suite to draft correspondence, create presentations, and manage spreadsheets.

• Ensure the showroom is well-maintained, organized, and appealing to clients.

• Handle sensitive information with discretion, maintaining confidentiality in all matters.

• Provide administrative support for various office functions as needed.

• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and management to ensure smooth operations.

• Stay informed about company products and services to provide accurate information to clients. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Proven experience in a customer service or front office role

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications will be a plus

• Ability to prioritize tasks according to importance in a fast-paced environment

• detail oriented appearance and punctual nature

• Familiarity with office equipment such as fax machines, printers, and photocopiers

• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with visitors and staff.
