Are you a self-motivated, talented, Electrical Engineer who understands the importance of engineering excellence to product development success?
In this role you’ll be…part of a global, cross-disciplinary team designing, implementing and validating modules for printer products. You will be supporting existing products improving the design and implementation of analog, digital and interface circuits as well as executing reliability and DVT tests.
You’ll have an opportunity to…work with talented engineers in a global environment, supporting complex products across a variety of printing technologies targeted to meet our customers’ needs and the strategic objectives of Markem-Imaje.
You should possess…a Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 1 year of experience developing circuits and/or writing control firmware.
Principal Activities / Duties / Responsibilities:
Follow best practices and procedures to improve design quality as assigned.
Interface with other engineering teams, stakeholders and customers to understand the application space and business requirements.
Support Current Products finding design solutions to obsolete components and designs.
Develop and implement project test plans.
Participate in design reviews.
Communicate with OEM manufacturers and third-party engineering partners to facilitate design and DVT solutions.
Drive creative, hands-on, electrical/firmware solutions for engineering validation.
Take a board design from block diagram through layout, test and release with the ability and willingness to perform each step personally if needed.
Travel to Keene, NH facility as needed.
Education and/or Experience Required:
Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree .
Ability to design analog and digital circuits
Knowledge of ARM processors and ARDUINO modules
Ability to write code in Python and C, plus a knowledge of machine code.
Designing, interfacing with pc board manufacturers, writing firmware and testing prototype boards.
Knowledge of sensors and actuators, PID control theory, signal processing and interfaces with real world inputs.
Ability to log values from firmware onto pc and create a pc-based user interface for lab testing and data acquisition.

Markem-Imaje – Watertown, MA, is an exciting expansion demonstrating our commitment to be the innovation leader in digital printing. This new, state-of-the-art, Global Design Center will be the hub for New Product Introduction of Laser- and DOD-based products. The office is situated close to Boston with easy access by car or public transportation.
