As our Corporate Relations Officer, you are a key member of the Development and Marketing team at Perkins which is responsible for raising over \$10 million dollars annually. You will have responsibility for growing a portfolio of corporate donors in this frontline role. As a true partner, you will work across departments to cultivate a pipeline of funders for Perkins? work in the US and abroad. This individual works closely with the Director of Institutional Giving to devise and implement strategic approaches to secure new relationships with corporations, to develop strategies to encourage giving and engagement with Perkins, and to achieve and exceed fundraising income targets. Engaging corporate partners, building a pipeline, and generating corporate revenue will be your top priorities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate donors through a variety of personalized approaches, ensuring the highest level of donor care and stewardship, and creating opportunities to engage new donors Qualify and cultivate prospective corporate donors via meetings (virtual and in-person), site visits, calls, and other formal and informal tactics to develop and deepen relationships; secure invitations to submit funding requests and sponsorships. In coordination with other Perkins? departments, identify opportunities that match the interests of corporate prospects (i.e. volunteering, corporate sponsorships, matching funds) to bring them closer to Perkins and create openings for revenue asks. Write and edit high-quality, persuasive concepts/letters of inquiry, proposals and other fundraising materials designed for institutional audiences, such as reports and supporting documents. Manage proposal and budget development from early stage to final product. Partner with business office and program leadership to ensure budgets align with funder guidelines. Coordinate with operations, business office, and stewardship team members on grant management. Work in partnership with Senior Research Officer to plan out research priorities and other activities to identify new prospects; support preparation of profiles/briefs for members of the development and leadership teams. Assume primary responsibility for stewardship and retention. Develop and maintain knowledge of priority areas and initiatives within Perkins and maintain collaborative relationships with relevant program staff. Maintain knowledge of institutional funding and other philanthropic trends. Assist in the development and operation of institutional giving strategy designed to identify and enhance major corporate support. Maintain active prospect management system in Raiser?s Edge. Meet annual targets for donor and prospect visits, solicitations, and revenue. Perform other duties that may be assigned.
