Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking Direct Support Personnel to assist in developing the therapeutic program and treatment plan by helping to create a therapeutic environment. Through direct service, the DSP collaborates in achieving the goals of the Day Center.

Details of the position include:

Location: Wareham, MA

Setting: Day Center

Start date: ASAP

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30-2:30

What you will do as a Direct Support Personnel:

• Implement Day Habilitation Service Plan (DHSP) objectives

• Document individuals’ progress towards DHSP objectives

• Assist individuals physically as necessary

• Ensure the health, safety, and general wellbeing of the individual

• Provide and maintain community based habilitation/therapeutic experiences through social, recreational and volunteer opportunities, based on the individual’s needs and wishes

• Transport the individual as assigned

  What you will need as a Direct Support Personnel:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

• 1+ years’ experience and/or training working with individuals with disabilities

• Valid driver's license, and satisfactory driving record

• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to work independently

• Strong computer and word processing skills
