Eliot's Emergency Residence supporting coed latency age children referred by the Department of Children and Families, is seeking a license eligible/ Master level Clinician with two years of experience working with the population. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to establish a positive rapport with a culturally and economically diverse group of children and families and to deliver services within trauma informed and strengths-based framework.
Eliot’s Social Services Division includes short-term community-based assessment, stabilization and support programs (Emergency Residence) and longer term assessment and treatment programs (Community Treatment Residence) for latency age children and adolescents. The programs provide a safe, structured, and respectful environment for children and youth.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and treatment plans that respond to the needs and diversity of the youth and family. Prepare clinical formulations in order to guide goal development.
Commit to the principles of Wraparound and practice within a Family Driven and Youth Guided framework that embraces Family Voice and Choice.
Become trained in Trauma Informed Care and ARC (Attachment, Regulation and Competency) and use these models within all aspects of the work.
Lead in the development of a strengths-based treatment plan and safety plan for each youth.
Coordinate care and provide individual, group and family interventions to support the permanency and resilience of the children and families served.
Qualifications:
Masters level degree in the Healing Arts (Social Work, Counseling, etc.) with at least 2 years experience working with similar populations providing community based social and mental health services.
License-eligible practitioner (LICSW/LMHC) with training in trauma informed treatment preferred. Ability to establish a positive rapport with a culturally and economically diverse group of families and to deliver services within the established framework and clinical model.
Ability to work in strengths' based manner with families, funders, licensing source and community resources for youth in the program. Ability to contribute to a family centered culture within the program.
Demonstrate sound judgment and effective, solution focused, problem solving skills.
Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with youths, staff, co-workers, and supervisor. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups.
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday 11-7
