Job Description
Responsible for activities related to production planning, purchasing, and on time delivery. This individual will develop, implement, and maintain production planning and purchasing material systems. This is a senior role responsible for setting direction for operational improvements. Develops material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing production and engineering. Prepares material requirement plans by using enterprise resource planning systems while looking for ways to continuously improve our systems and processes.
Job Duties
The Sr. Manager Supply Chain will be responsible for all issues associated with:
Purchasing
Inventory Management
Detailed Scheduling
Production Planning
Master Production Management for multiple manufacturing facilities
Raw Material Inventory Management
Schedule Adherence
Lifecycle Management
On Time Delivery
This position acts as the liaison to: Manufacturing Production Engineering Quality Commercial Operations Human Resources Finance Product Management Service Sales and Engineering on issues related to delivery cost and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
Education*: Bachelor’s degree
Experience*: A minimum of 5 years of production planning and purchasing. At least 3 years in a management or supervisory role. Experience in a Lean-Sigma environment preferred
Skills: Strong leadership and decision-making abilities along with skills in planning work orders and tasks. Must have a broad multi-functional understanding of manufacturing while using computer-aided tools to effectively plan and deliver positive. Ability to use information to plan workloads and resources as well as to analyse and establish priorities. A strong knowledge of Lean concepts including but not limited to: 5S visual controls value stream mapping kaizen techniques TPM SMED. Functional knowledge of Commercial Operations Production Engineering Finance and general business processes. Including ERP and reporting functionality. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent analytical skills with deep understanding of MS office tools.
